Email Setup


Following are some examples to use for setting up Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express to access email accounts that are being hosted by RGB Enterprises. These are examples showing the format that the information must be in and the settings that need to be selected.

Outlook Express account settings

1. Open the Tools menu
2. Select Accounts
3. Click the Mail tab
4. Select the mail account
5. Click the Properties button

Outlook 2002/2003 account settings

1. Open the Tools menu
2. Select E-mail Accounts
3. Select View or Change existing email accounts
5 . Select the mail account
6 . Click the Change button

7. After making these changes, click the More Settings button

These settings are required to send email.


Remember to change yourdomain.com in these examples to your actual domain name.

1. Incoming and Outgoing mail servers should be mail.yourdomain.com (yourdomain.com also works)
2. Enter account name as username or username@yourdomain.com (full email address).
3. My server requires authentication needs to be checked. Use the default settings (same as outgoing mail server)

If you cannot get the settings to work, try deleting the mail account, then recreate a new mail account.

If you are using another email program, the screens may look different.
