Email Setup

Following are some examples to use for setting up Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express to access email accounts hosted on the RGB Enterprises server.


These are examples show the format that the information must be in and the settings that need to be selected.

Note that the user name/account name must be your full email address.

Outlook 2002/2003 account settings

1. Open the Tools menu
2. Select E-mail Accounts
3. Select View or Change existing email accounts
5 . Select the mail account
6 . Click the Change button

7. After making these changes, click the More Settings button, select the Outgoing Server tab:


Outlook Express account settings

1. Open the Tools menu
2. Select Accounts
3. Click the Mail tab
4. Select the mail account
5. Click the Properties button





Remember to change yourdomain.com in these examples to your actual domain name.

1. Incoming and Outgoing mail servers should be mail.yourdomain.com
2. Enter account name as username@yourdomain.com (full email address).
3. My server requires authentication may need to be checked. Use the default settings (same as outgoing mail server)
4. Under the Advanced tab, use port 587 for the outgoing server (SMTP) port.

If you cannot get the settings to work, try deleting the mail account, then recreate a new mail account.

If you are using another email program, the screens may look different.
